The Unexpected Journey: Finding and Living Your Deeper Purpose
Please join us as Michelle Wulfestieg, two-time stroke survivor, hospice advocate, motivational speaker and award-winning author, shares her story of perseverance, hope, and the power of living your deeper purpose.
Michelle Wulfestieg is a two-time stroke survivor who understands just how precious life is. Her journey has led her to the belief that as long as we are here, we have a purpose for our lives. Her own health struggles drew her to the field of hospice where she discovered her life’s work. She has chronicled her experiences in her award-winning book, “All We Have Is Today: A Story of Discovering Purpose.”
Michelle currently serves as the Executive Director for the Southern California Hospice Foundation (SCHF), a non-profit organization committed to enhancing the lives of terminally ill patients and their families. Part of her work at SCHF includes fulfilling final wishes for terminally ill patients. She’s been honored to be part of coordinating fun meetings between the patients and their favorite celebrities such as Oprah Winfrey, Harrison Ford, and Selena Gomez. Michelle has been instrumental in raising funds for the organization through grants from Disney, Nordstrom, and the Moyer Foundation. Known for her work in the field, Michelle partnered with Showtime Television where she helped produce the groundbreaking documentary, "Time of Death," which offers an intimate look at hospice patients’ final days and how they and their families cope with pending death.
Michelle hopes to encourage those who are struggling and offer inspiration to each of us no matter where we are in life’s journey. Her greatest wish for you is that you’ll find your true purpose, using the gifts you were given to do good, make a difference, and maybe… even change a life.
