Employee handbooks provide both challenges and benefits within companies today. A well written and comprehensive employee handbook is a powerful tool to communicate an organization's policies and practices, as well as values, culture, and vision. A great handbook is also a wonderful tool to distill and communicate an employer’s employment brand. Handbooks done right can help set the tone for the entire employment relationship. HR professionals will leave this program with an understanding of the complex modern landscape affecting handbook development and implementation.

Employee handbooks also present a unique compliance challenge. This workshop also includes a look into multistate employer matters, California updates, NLRB enforcement priorities, and the interaction of the handbook with legal type agreements or language.
